 Open Call for Participation – Barabar Grassroot Network (BGN)
The BIG Project – Barabar Initiative (going) Grassroot

 This Call for Participation invites grassroots civil society organizations (CSOs), cultural centres, and youth organizations across Kosovo to apply for membership in the newly established Barabar Grassroot Network (BGN). The BGN will consist of at least 15 selected CSOs and at least 10 socially engaged women artists, serving as a collaborative platform for peer exchange, capacity building, local action, and policy engagement.
The BIG Project – Barabar Initiative (going) Grassroot is a two-year EU-funded initiative implemented by Integra and CASA, aiming to promote social inclusion, civic engagement, and interethnic cohesion in Kosovo through the strategic use of art and culture.

🔹 What BGN Members Gain

• Participation in a comprehensive capacity-building program (3 thematic trainings on art and culture for social change, inclusion, and fundraising);
• Eligibility to apply for small grants to implement local initiatives (total fund: EUR 80,000);
• Involvement in policy co-creation processes through Policy Hackathons (two) with institutional stakeholders;
• Opportunity to participate in national and local policy development events promoting inclusive cultural policies.

🔹 Who Can Apply

• Non-profit CSOs, cultural centres, and youth groups based and operating in Kosovo;
• Organizations with experience in social inclusion, civic activism, or arts-based community work;
• Special encouragement is given to women-led organizations and those representing non-majority and marginalized communities.

• Application period: May – June 2025
• Training period: August – October 2025
• Sub-granting and implementation phase: November 2025 – June 2026
• Policy Hackathons and advocacy: July – December 2026
