Written by Doruntina Basha and directed by Kushtrim Koliqi, “Eyes of the Wolf” brings to the stage a powerful story confronting one of our society’s most silenced issues — the stigmatization of survivors of sexual violence and the children born of these crimes. Featuring Irena Aliu, Edona Reshitaj, Armend Smajli, and Albina Krasniqi, the play challenges taboos while opening space for dialogue, empathy, and change.
Set in a remote mountain cabin, the play follows three generations of women whose lives are shaped by unspoken wartime trauma. Through the defiance of young Dila and her mother’s struggle with painful memories, the story reveals the tension between fear and freedom, silence and truth.
This theatre play is realized as part of the project “Establishing a Sustainable Platform to address past injustices and foster reconciliation”, implemented by Integra and made possible with the assistance of the regional project EU Support to Confidence Building in the Western Balkans, which is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project is also supported by the Community Development Fund (CDF), Embassy of Sweden in Prishtina, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and Pro Peace – Kosovo.
